T-Rex may be one of the most vicious dinosaurs but this carnivorous giant lizard is certainly not the best one when it comes to arm wrestling. Ha, kidding! I mean, who would care about small arms if you can win any duel with massive strength and razor sharp teeth? Yep, that's what T-Rex is. Having an offcial name as Tyrannosaurus Rex, this monster has always been pictured as the the boss of all dinosaurs. They're on the top of the food chain as no other dinosaurs want to prey on them. Even the creation of Godzilla is inspired by T-Rex.

Fun Facts about Tyrannosaurus Rex
- ‘Tyrannosaurus’ comes from the Greek words meaning ‘tyrant lizard’, while the word ‘rex’ means ‘king’ in Latin. Tyrannosaurus rex is often abbreviated to T-Rex. Tyrannosaurus rex lived in an area of the Earth that now makes up western North America.
- The T. Rex had quite a large brain for a dinosaur. This would have helped it hunt better! Large parts of its brain helped its vision and smell - it may have even had telescopic vision. Even more terrifying was its mouth full of 8 inch (20cm) teeth - long and sharp, like knives.
- Tyrannosaurus rex measured up to 13m (42ft) in length, 4m (13ft) at the hip and could weigh up to 7 tons! The skull of a Tyrannosaurus rex alone measured up to 1.5m (5ft) long. When Tyrannosaurus rex hit around the age of 14 its body size would increase rapidly, putting on around 600kg (1300lb) a year over the next 4 years.
- Tyrannosaurus Rex were meat eaters. They probably hunted Hadrosaurs and Triceratops. They would have also scavenged - stealing meals from smaller predators.
- Tyrannosaurus rex was represented in the popular Transformers toy line and animated series as Grimlock, an Autobot that could transform into a powerful Tyrannosaurus rex.
